June holidays week four:

Stepping into the odd-looking “control center”, I stood rooted in awe as I looked at the panels of flashing lights and handles. I went up to it, and pulled the biggest and most outstanding handle. Immediately, the door slided and locked in position, and I fell as the sudden surge of gravity pulled me down. I had the ascending feeling, but could not confirm anything.
Not long later, most things around me that was not fastened to the ground, including me of course, were floating. Apparently, I was not in a place anyone on earth could have gone. Pushing aside my doubts and fears, I went to the panels.
Looking at every single thing there, I pushed one of the buttons, and the door slid open. From what I saw outside, I could not decide if I was lucky in hitting the correct button or unlucky in ending up in the wrong place. It took me quite awhile before I dared to step up to the door and went out.
The never-ending light I saw made me regret it when I thought I was lucky in hitting the right button. What I deem as aliens seems to be gesturing to me, to walk down the winding, long path.

June holidays week three:

I went up to Miss Karoline and stuck out my hand stiffly. She just gave me the usual blank look and handed the slip to me. “Off to the office please, Mister Yeo.” THERE! It was so expected!
Walking down the wooden floor of the corridor and stopping in front of the door labeling “Mr Woodpecker”, I knocked with trembling hands and went in. The principal’s secretary, like always, gave the flashing grin and directed me to the principal’s desk, and told me to wait awhile before he comes back. I sat down and looked around, seeing the usuals.
He stepped in, though I practically thought he hopped in, and showed me a menacing smirk. “I can’t be bothered to talk to you today, just report to detention class later.” I had the urge to just throw the silver vase at him, but stopped myself in time, luckily.
Stepping out of the office, I saw someone sinister walking towards me, The Discipline Master! I had the feeling of everything in my life being gone then…

June holidays week two:

Digging her sneakers into the muddy earth, she sat rooted to the benches by the pitch, and watched on as brother slammed the ball behind the line, and the silently staring crowd turned into a mass of jumping red and yellow colours, with lots of screaming and shouting voices cheering.
Jeanny took awhile to register what just happened, and whatever held her to the bench suddenly seemed to disappear and she too, jumped up and ran into the pitch, throwing herself at brother as he caught her in an embrace. They won. With such a close gap in between the scores; 13-14, and with her idol scoring the deciding point at the last second. A grin spread across his face, and the reassuring voice said: “Dinner’s on you!” She just smiled knowingly, and led him out, with a proud look on her and an innocent smile on him.

June holidays week one:

He scurried out into the blinding sunlight from the darkness of the first floor attic. When he finally regained his sight, what he saw were things totally different from when he entered.
The bare trees were now producing fruits, and the "haunted house" opposite the street is now gone, and in its place was a busy shopping center full of people going in and out. The initially empty street was now bustling with people in all sorts of attire; from suits with shining, polished shoes to just plain shirts and jeans with sneakers.
"Exactly how much time had passed since i entered?" he wondered silently. All he could remember was just opening the dusty and creaky tomb before something shiny flashed pass the side of his lower body and something pierced his leg, and everything seemed a blur...
