Argumentative Essay:
Nowadays, as technology advances, every home is sure to own a computer. The computer now becomes a part of our lives, it is now indispensable and teenagers in this 21st century are getting more and more involved with the computer. Males are especially the ones more prone to computer game addiction as they find more enjoyment from all the shooting and warring in these games. However, I think that too much exposure of such will do them harm.
Firstly, I think that if they are too absorbed with the game, their minds will be revolving about these games, they will be constantly thinking about how "cool" their characters in the game are, and how they will go about at the next stage of the game, and this distracts them from more important things, such as their studies.
Secondly, games tend to have an influence on their players. If it is a violent game, too much interaction with the game will draw the players more to the violent side as well. They will turn to become more and more like the characters in the games and their way of life will be impacted by the ways in the games. This, as a result, will affect their character and moral values which is a negative influence for their psychological growth and development.
In conclusion, I think that computer games have no real benefits other than its own and only purpose: entertainment, which is but on the surface and for a short period of enjoyment. They should be sparingly used when necessary, say for stress-relieving.
